Dr. Yo-wei Chen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (TUSDM) and a highly regarded member of the dental community. His journey in dentistry commenced at Taipei Medical University in Taiwan, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Following his residency at Taipei Medical University Hospital and professional practice in Taiwan, Dr. Chen moved to the United States to further his academic and professional development. He accomplished this by obtaining a Master of Science and a Doctorate of Dental Medicine at TUSDM, with a focus on Prosthodontics.

 

Holding the esteemed titles of Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists, Dr. Chen showcases his unwavering commitment to his specialty. Additionally, he actively participates in the International Team for Implantology and the Academy of Osseointegration. His professional interests are broad and innovative, encompassing digital dentistry, implant dentistry, dental materials, and the application of artificial intelligence in dental practice. Dr. Chen is also recognized for his extensive contributions to peer-reviewed dental journals and his insightful presentations at national and international conferences.

 

In his practice, Dr. Chen is dedicated to providing comprehensive, personalized dental care. From simple cosmetic to complex reconstruction treatment, he skillfully combines the latest in dental technology with a patient-centered approach, ensuring every patient receives the highest standard of customized treatment.

 

Beyond his professional life, Dr. Chen is actively involved with the Boston Taiwanese Boat Club (BTBC) as an assistant coach. His participation in dragon boat paddling underscores his passion for teamwork, discipline, and physical fitness. This role not only reflects his leadership skills but also his commitment to community and cultural engagement. In addition to his professional and athletic pursuits, Dr. Chen cherishes spending quality time with his family, Jessie and Ryan, enjoying the pleasures together.
